Can’t believe that today’s already Chinese New Year (CNY) Eve! Can’t believe that 3 weeks had flown by in a flash! Can’t believe that I’m heading back to Portugal tomorrow!
Anyway, the past 3 weeks had been amazing! Thank you Singapore for receiving me with the best weather ever – bright sunshine, cool breezes, nil rain – What more can I ask for?! As far as I could remember, I’d never experienced better weather in Singapore ever before! To add on, I enjoyed awesome food, fantastic shopping and countless gatherings with friends and loved ones The only missing piece, a crucial one no less, in this otherwise perfect puzzle is Querido. Missing him and looking forward to reuniting really soon!!
Many cherished memories from this trip to bring back to Portugal. For instance, I finally managed to witness little en-en oozing her cuteness in person! It’s almost impossible to say no to this cutie As my facebook profile picture is one with en-en, many friends have asked if she’s my niece and some even thought that she’s my daughter. Ha. For the record, despite the fact that I am old enough to be her mum, en-en is actually my cousin (yes, same generation!) and more affectionately, my little sis
Not forgetting, there was the extended family outing to Botanical Gardens. It was a beautiful day, yet again We even chanced upon the “Singapore Chinese Orchestra Outdoor Rhapsody” serenading the crowd with evergreen CNY tunes. Singapore is not entirely a concrete jungle afterall.
And there was the lovely date night with my another very cute sis, aka Ongnie, at Habitat Coffee and Udder’s. I have to commend Ongnie for patiently waiting at Marymount Station when I was half an hour late! Oops. That said, I think Ongnie should heed Minister Gan’s personal advice to her! Hee.
Enjoyed catching up with friends too – primary school friends, secondary school friends, jc friends, ntu friends, lbs friend, uob friends, ubs friends, mas friends and the list continues…. It’s so precious to be hanging out with friends who know your life history (to some extent) and share the same lingo. Not taking all of you for granted!!
This is probably my last post in Singapore as these final 2 days are going to be overwhelmingly busy with CNY festivities. I’ll blog about my CNY after I’m back in Portugal. Here’s wishing all of you a Fulfilling Year of the Horse! Enjoy a year of good health, abundant wealth and happy memories! xoxo
